well where we live, when it snows, it is unlikely to stay for more than a morning. it also only snows 1 – 2 times a year at our elevation. so our snow is almost always new. it is almost always easily lost due to the warming of the atmosphere. this is caused by our sun. since the snow is frozen water, it melts when the sun heats it. I suppose if we lived somewhere where it was frozen all winter this may not apply, however I can see situations in early fall where this would apply most places that receive any snowfall at all.
I think it is kind of silly when people question other peoples poetry or art. It doesn’t need to make sense to anyone but the artist. After that its for enjoyment purposes only, if you don’t enjoy it, move on. I got emails from people (who didn’t leave comments) about this being a great piece.
How is a newly fallen snow hard to attain and easy to lose?
