Guest Post by my wonderful 10 year old son, Ethan! Please send some good thoughts out into the universe for Ethan today. He is having surgery to remove a metal shard from his foot. He impaled his foot on a nail trying to stop himself on the swingset in our backyard. I called his doctor and they had me pull it out, but there were other metal pieces from something else in there as well. He has been in a lot of pain and battling infection, but doing well!

He drew this piece because of having to be on crutches…notice the crutch arms? :) Do him a favor, not me…I don’t care about my traffic today, my thoughts are 100% with my boy…but do him a favor…leave a kind word about his drawing, it sure would make his day when we get home to see that. Thank you!

Lately I’ve been feeling the love on twitter. Let me say, it honestly helps me get thru my day knowing there are genuinely kind positive people still existing in the universe. :) So…as sappy as it is, and maybe not so exciting to the casual reader, I’d like to thank some awesome people here now.

My kids don’t go on the list, I am thankful for them with every breath I take, even the ones I’m completely unaware of. They are beyond thanks, thanks will never be enough for the love they give me. :)

My best friend in the whole world, Angela. I don’t know how she puts up with all my complaining and dreariness, but she’s really nice to me. If it weren’t for her seriously kicking my ass in the friendliest way and telling me to stick to this, who knows if I would have. She’s a good friend, she knows when to not let you be a loser. That means a lot! Not to mention she’s taking me to see my favoritest singer ever!! We are going to see She & Him in October in Portland! Woohoo!! Yeaaah!
