Guest Post by my wonderful 10 year old son, Ethan! Please send some good thoughts out into the universe for Ethan today. He is having surgery to remove a metal shard from his foot. He impaled his foot on a nail trying to stop himself on the swingset in our backyard. I called his doctor and they had me pull it out, but there were other metal pieces from something else in there as well. He has been in a lot of pain and battling infection, but doing well!
He drew this piece because of having to be on crutches…notice the crutch arms? :) Do him a favor, not me…I don’t care about my traffic today, my thoughts are 100% with my boy…but do him a favor…leave a kind word about his drawing, it sure would make his day when we get home to see that. Thank you!

I like his different arms. I hope one of them shoots lazers…
Fearsome looking robot Ethan, well done. Hope the surgery goes well. I’m sure you’ll be back on your feet in no time.
Great job on the Crutchinator Ethan. Makes me think of something Dr. Doofensmirtz might create to battle those who have left nails in his path and to thwart Perry the Platypus (I’m a huge Phineas & Ferb fan, thus the reference). We’ll be thinking of you and praying for a quick recovery with your surgery. Keep drawing, you did an excellent job today, I can’t wait to see your next guest post.

Awww wow the Crutchinator is an awesome looking robot =D Loving his face and his crutch arm! A great drawing and a very cool looking robot! =D
Yay Ethan! Well done!
Hope your surgery goes well and that they can remove the metal shard. If you get a scar, you can always say it was a shark-bite.
ps. This of course means you get a lot of icecream or other things you like to eat a lot but aren’t allowed too. Having surgery gives you the right to that. Ask your mother ;)
i agree 100% !!!
you know it! this kid is getting the spoiling of a lifetime. he was a true example of how to take a situation in stride and not let it overwhelm you…better than his mama was for sure! :) cookies, ice cream, pirates booty (his fav) and root beer (his other treaty fav)…on tap right now. :) <3
E, this is robo-tastic! I’m excited to see all the creatures that hang out in that brain of yours! I hope you are feeling spectacular soon! Love You! ~Angela

Super Cool drawing Ethan! Love the crutch arms and the antenna. You should do a color version too! You are very, talented and creative! I hope you are feeling better. :) Amy
Awesome awesome work, Ethan. Keep it up! I hope everything goes great today, and I hope you’re feeling totally better very soon!
Your words meant a lot to Ethan! He said “Hmm so many people like my art, maybe I should have my own website?” I was like “whoa hey buddy….don’t be taking over moms gig now, I know you’re good, but give me a chance ;)”
Thank you all…sooooo much. This was…..way more than I imagined. He is feeling like a pretty cool dude, and he deserves it…he’s one tough cookie. He just goes with flow…doesn’t let a thing bother him. He handled this the same way. It’s inspiring and admirable. :)
The Crutchinator’s AWESOME! You’ve got more talent many comic artists out there! Keep it up! :D
You da man, Ethan!
Love the arms and the metal patches all over his body! Great job buddy!!
