webcomic of the day!

Todays webcomic of the day is a tie! (this is going to happen) Two of my favorites were extra goods today.

Thinkin’ Lincoln by Miles Grover and American Elf by James Kochalka

Enjoy! These are some talented peeps!

webcomic of the day!

Hey kids. I was just thinking something. It only hurt a little. I read like 50 or so comics everyday. Some days they all rock, sometimes they all suck, and other times there are a few shiny wonderful comics that really stand out. I am thinking about doing a webcomic of the day post! Whichever webcomic sticks out with its shinywonderfulness I will post here. Today I will say my fav comic is Tasha. I love this comic strip, its one of the ones I am always excited about when there is an update.

Wow have I been sick. Blegh. For the past couple weeks I’ve been horrid ill. I am VERY happy to say that I am pretty sure I’m on the mend now. :) I am doing a lot of work for new website goodness. Its just taking time. Something I never have a lot of. A lot of the upcoming posts are cheat posts to me. When I draw a full page of goofy little heads and then scan each one separately. They aren’t as cool on their own as they are all on the sheet together, but I felt like I had to really stretch to get a buffer going again. Being sick sucked mostly, but the one good thing was I sat here and drew a lot. Drawing makes me feel content. There are quite a few pretty kick ass “fumes” coming up. I’ve also been working on some desktop background sets and iPhone backgrounds, and some new designs for the borkedplanet cafepress store. New site look and feel soon too! I hope so anyways! Time is so precious.

hey gang, this place is going to be a mess for a bit. I have a lot of work to do to get the site back up to par. It might be messy but there will still be new posts monday thru friday!

Holy Happiness!

So I am uber stoked this early AM because I just found out that Tim Burton is making Alice In Wonderland! Frick Yeah! That is so rad. I cannot wait. Of course, Johnny Depp will be in it as the mad hatter. This is just so exciting to me. I can’t wait to see his dark twist on Alice In Wonderland. That is one of my favorite stories ever. I have a feeling I am going to want to get an Alice tattoo after seeing it.

Also, there are a few comics that if you don’t read them already…seriously…you should! #1 on my list of people I didn’t know about, but upon finding think are totally awesome… Kate Beaton. Funny funny funny, and I love the way she draws. Also, loads of people know about this site, but you should still check it out because I think it just keeps getting better! Questionable Content by Jeph Jacques. I’d feel like a total jerkface if I didn’t go on to say that I friggin LOVE Thinkin’ Lincoln by Miles Grover and Octopus Pie by Meredith Gran. These people are talented! There are more, and I am thinking about doing a thing where once a week I write about my favorite comics and of course you will hear more about the aforementioned folks.

skulls, skeletons, robots and wtf!

So I got a ton of new doodles done. I am pretty sure I owe my Pam a big Thank You for this one. She gave me a skull pencil and the drawings just came like mad. That was fun. There are a lot of skulls, skeletons, and robots in this batch to come, as well as tomorrows post “wtf”…I still don’t know what it is. Lots of cool stuff tho, I am excited about sharing it all with you. I am in a good mood because I just got my haircut and it is bitchin’ camaro if I do say so myself. I’ve got to go for now, I have beasts who require feeding.

so whatdya think?

New background…yes? no? I am not sure on it myself. I don’t know if its too busy or not. Feedback is priceless!

new stuffs..?

First things first, I just discovered Liz Baillie and I am SO happy I did. She rocks hard and you should bow down to her comic greatness…thats just my opinion tho.

I have been working on a few new pieces. One is a painting of a monkey monster with a cityscape behind him. Unfortunately I was retarded the day I painted said monkey monster and I put his hand facing the wrong way….this is something that is driving me crazy. It took my whole family holding me down for me not to rip it up throw it in the trash and then set the trash on fire! I was so mad. I worked really hard on that piece and then for such a blatant detail to be so very wrong…ARGGGG!! I also made a multi-media piece..I am happy with how it turned out. Sadly, I cannot take a picture of it because I don’t have a digicam, mine broke. Also…I won’t be able to scan stuff to upload for the site soon as I have to give back the scanner I’ve been borrowing to make that possible. Big time bummersauce. Economy sucks, my life is a huge reminder of that right now. Just barely being able to afford groceries, let alone things I need, or art supplies….blarg. So, I am working and creating again…somewhat…but I don’t know how much good that is going to do if I can’t get the stuff up on the web somehow.

I am off to drink more coffee and brainstorm on how I can make this situation better somehow! Idears are welcome!

I got my newest wootshirt in the mail yesterday!! It is wickedly wicked-awesome!

Aside from that bit of good news…I don’t have much to report. Haven’t drawn anything in weeks…haven’t had the time. I hate it when this happens, I feel like I am just wasting away. When everyday blends into one big day that is the same over and over and over. Don’t really know what to do about that. Kind of gloomy report.

We got our first fall rain yesterday! I love love love the rain. It makes me feel the way a sunny day makes most people feel. I get a big grin on my face when I hear the rain patting down on the roof. Even better when I get to go walk in it. Getting soaked is no problem for me, I enjoy it. I find the rain to be cleansing. I could live in Seattle no problem. The weather up there is just about perfect to me. I lived there for a while as a kid and I remember being stoked ab out getting to wear my rain boots almost everyday.  Ah those were the days, when your biggest worries were if you were gonna get in trouble for going puddle surfing and getting all muddy.
