Many ideas lately. Not that I’ve been so collected as to write any of them down, or even put them in a text file. I’m the scattered type. I try super hard not to be so scattered, but then I just end up back where I started. I am starting to go on the theory of embracing all that is weird and odd about myself, and not trying to change them so much. So I’m a little scattered…pretty sure I’m still doing good with karma. There are worse things I could be than being a bit scattered. Now I’ve used the word scattered a lot. Did I mention yet that I’m highly contemplating dreadlocks….

So tonight is “First Friday Art Night“. I used to enjoy this night more years ago when our town hadn’t gone thru its little population boom yet. Still, it is a neat thing to go take in. I like seeing the amazing talents of the local artists put out for everyone to enjoy. There is also music, and restaurants and galleries and such stay open. Live music all over the place really. Not that it is always music we’re into, but it’s just the point that they are getting out there and having fun and people are enjoying themselves. It’s great for the local economy too. So we might go depending on how I am feeling, I’m kinda feeling sicky. I generally ignore how I feel and do stuff anyways, which is probably what I’ll end up doing. Plus, I want to go to yard sales tomorrow really bad for some reason. I keep having this feeling I will find cheap stuff for making neat art with.

I got my first pics of my cafepress.com gear on a customer! Thank you to a super awesome friend – Dys4ik. :) Non-intarweb humans know him as Andrew, but…..I like Dys4ik better. I have heard in the wind that a few more customer shots may be coming in, if so I will throw up a little borkedplanet gear gallery to show off the goodies. Thank you all so much!!

So I’m finding out that the only way to make any money is to self-promote up the wazoo. Which really…not my thing. If you know me on a personal level, you know its hard for me to even admit I’m worth promoting at all. The only reason I’m even interested in the money making part of all this art stuff is because I have two kids, who both…have mouths with teeth that need dentists, and bodies that need doctors from time to time, and hair that needs cut, and clothes that need bought…and a dog to feed and a cat family….so yeah…the money, it comes in handy! I personally haven’t made enough money off my art or stores to get paid yet, but when I do I will feel so proud to be able to contribute in that way. I am coming up with a few new designs for the webstore. Betterer. I promise.

I have a new gallery store up at imagekind! You can get my high quality scans of my acrylics on canvas printed into fine art prints or onto canvas. There are even framing options. I think this is the bees knees and if I was rich and had lots of wall space…I’d be rolling in it. Lots of talented people have their stuff up there, not just my junk. (<-self promotion – I’m a wizard!) So even if you don’t buy something, please go look and maybe, perhaps become a fan? I can’t forget to also add that you should check out my flickr! The last thing I wanted to say is just a big thank you to the online community of friends I have. You are more supportive than my (extended)family and any of my real life friends. Your friendships are priceless to me, you know who you are! <3 <3 <3
